Cinque Terre isn’t the right destination for a trip on the road, also and above all due to the scarcity of parking in the five villages, and it’s therefore a means of transport that we do not recommend.

But if you don’t have a choice, here’s some information about parking.

Parking in Riomaggiore

Riomaggiore has a paid parking with a capacity of about 60 parking spaces, located in the upper part of the village, about 10 minutes walk from the center.

Paid car silos are identified by a sign called Rio Park. You can’t to book in advance and the height limit is 1.95m.

The hourly rate is € 3.50 and the daily rate is € 35, to be paid at the automatic ticket machines, cash or with credit card, when leaving the parking.

All parking lots located outside the silos are reserved for residents.

In the upper part of the village, near the roundabout, there are five other places, with a free one hour parking and a compulsory parking disc.

You will also find some free parking spaces (only the first seven, pay attention to the signs) located near the cemetery, for a maximum stop of two hours (compulsory parking disc), between 8 and 18. At night parking is free.

Otherwise you can park along the panoramic road, free of charge within the allowed spaces, and along the coast road, from where you can reach the center through a path arriving at the Riomaggiore castle (steep staircase, for sporty people) or by shuttle bus.

Parking in Manarola

The parking in Manarola is located about 10-15 minutes walk from the town and has a capacity of about 60 parking spaces.

Parking is charged and the hourly rate is €2,50 and the daily one €20, to be paid at the automatic ticket machines.

You can also park for free along the road, in the provided parking spaces.

To access with tourist buses you need a specific authorization and you can get it online.
