The Cinque Terre are not the right destination for a holiday by car, also and above all due to the scarcity of parking in the five villages.
However, if you have no choice but to reach Riomaggiore and Manarola by car, here is some information about parking.
Keep in mind that most of the car parks (yellow lines) are for residents. Parking in these stalls could cost you a nice fine!

Parking in Riomaggiore

Riomaggiore has a paid parking with a capacity of about 60 cars, located in the upper part of the town, about 10 minutes walk from the center.
The paid car silos are identified by a sign called Rio Park and are barred. It is not possible to reserve a seat in advance and access is reserved for cars of less than 1.95m in height.
The hourly rate is € 3.50 and the daily rate of € 35, to be paid at the automatic ticket machines, by cash or credit card, at the end of the parking.
Near the Rio Park, there are five other places with free parking for one hour and a mandatory parking disc. Seven other 2-hour parking disc parking spaces (from 08 to 20) are located near the cemetery, these stalls become free for the night.

Otherwise you can park along the panoramic road, free of charge within the allowed spaces. From here you can reach the town center via some paths (steep stairways, for prepared people) or by shuttle bus.

Zorza car park

Along the carriage road between Riomaggiore and Manarola you will find a paid parking in the locality of Zorza.
This car park costs € 1.00 per hour (payment via automatic cash machine) and € 2.50 per hour for caravans, but camping is not allowed.

By parking here you will have the right to use the shuttle for Riomaggiore or Manarola free of charge.

Parking in Manarola

In Manarola you have two car parks, Posella and Acquarino, both of which are about a 10-15 minute walk from the town.
Parking is subject to charges and the hourly rate is € 2.50 and the daily rate of € 20, to be paid at the automatic ticket office. Even in this car park it is not possible to book a stop in advance.
