Punta Bonfiglio

From here, you can see Manarola as a whole: the colourful houses overlooking the cliff, the small harbour and the coastline stretching towards Punta Mesco. It is one of the most photographed places in the Cinque Terre and, at sunset, offers one of the most evocative views in the area.

The area is equipped with benches and is used by both visitors and residents as a place to pause and meet. Its slightly detached position from the centre also makes it suitable for quieter moments, although it remains one of the most visited places in the village.

Along the route, a few elements help shape the experience of the place: just below the promontory there is a refreshment point overlooking the sea, while continuing further you reach the Manarola cemetery, located in a particularly panoramic position. Nearby there is also a small rocky inlet used for access to the sea.

Punta Bonfiglio is also one of the points from which you can observe the coastal stretch of the Via dell’Amore and the natural connection between Manarola and Riomaggiore.

It can be reached easily on foot with a short walk from the centre: from the harbour, simply follow the path along the cliff towards Riomaggiore, climbing towards the promontory. The path is paved but includes uphill sections and steps.
