Trail 530C, known as Scala Santa, is a short but evocative connection between the Alta Via delle Cinque Terre, AV5T, and the Strada dei Santuari, trail 530.

The route follows a historic stone stairway, once used as a pilgrimage route, descending from the Bramapane junction to the abandoned Schiappacasse quarry. It is a steep but short path, immersed in woodland.

The Scala Santa is made up of high sandstone steps and is one of the most recognisable sections of the local hiking network. Once you reach the quarry, a lesser-known but very beautiful viewpoint opens up, with a view over the Riomaggiore side and the coast.

From the quarry square, a short dirt road leads to Cerricò, where the trail connects with route 530.

The trail is short but steep, entirely on steps. It is more of an evocative passage than a full hike.
